The procedure may seem simple but it involves lot of pain and cost to undergo such a treatment. The speed of the Nd-Yag is ten pulses per second which means the pain will range from a harsh prick of a pin to a drop of acid put in your hand. So it is better to administer a local analgesic or even an anaesthetic if the patient is weak to prevent any suffering due to this treatment.
This treatment is a success in most cases but there are always exceptions in any fields. So in this treatment too sometimes tattoo cannot be removed and you are left with no other choice but to leave it as such.
